Geek+ warehouse robots and JAKA/Dobot cobots: what covers a warehouse and an assembly line
A warehouse and an assembly line are two different jobs, and the robots for them differ too. Our catalog covers this with Geek+ (Beijing) for warehouse logistics and JAKA and Dobot (Shanghai and Shenzhen) for line cobots. Here's what each offers and where it fits.
Geek+: four types of warehouse robots
The P series are "goods-to-person" rack-carrying robots: up to 1200 kg payload, top speed 4.5 m/s. The idea is simple — the robot brings the shelf to the operator instead of the person walking to the shelf. Per spec, that cuts manual labor by 50-70%.
The RS series are "tote-to-person" shuttles for racks 5, 8, and 11 meters tall, up to 40 kg payload. This isn't moving a whole rack — it's pulling individual totes from height, where the P series simply can't operate.
The S series handles sorting: up to 100 kg per robot, top speed 2 m/s — the manufacturer claims several times faster than manual sorting. The M series just moves goods around the warehouse, up to 1000-1200 kg, with both laser SLAM and QR navigation running at once (a backup route if one navigation channel fails).
JAKA: the Zu cobot line, 1 to 18 kg
JAKA's payload range is wide: the MiniCobo holds about 1 kg at a 580 mm reach — for desktop assembly and lab work. Then comes the Zu line itself: Zu 3 (3 kg, 626 mm reach), Zu 7 (7 kg, 819 mm), Zu 12 (12 kg, 1327 mm), and Zu 18 (18 kg, 1073 mm) — reach doesn't scale linearly with payload, each model balances reach and strength differently.
The Pro series is the same Zu line with reinforced protection for harsher shop-floor conditions (dust, vibration, temperature swings). The C5 is a separate model built for food and light industry, where housing hygiene requirements matter.
Dobot: from a desktop cobot to force-torque control
The MG400 is a desktop 4-axis cobot: just 8 kg, 440 mm reach, up to 750 g payload, ±0.05 mm repeatability. That's precision, not strength — dispensing, small-parts assembly, lab operations.
The CR series covers medium- and heavy-duty cobots for assembly, dispensing, and machine tending. The Nova series is the newer generation with reinforced force-torque control (the robot "feels" resistance on contact with a part) and faster programming — which cuts changeover time for a new operation.
How to choose
For moving large volumes in a warehouse, look at Geek+: the P series for racks, RS for narrow tall aisles, M for straightforward goods movement. For precision on a bench, Dobot's MG400 or JAKA's MiniCobo. For strength on an assembly line, JAKA's Zu 12/18 or Dobot's CR series, depending on the force-torque control you need.
