Geek+ and Quicktron: how Chinese warehouse robots conquered the global AMR market

Warehouse robotics is one of the few segments of the Chinese robot industry where international expansion has already happened, not just been planned. Geek+ / 极智嘉 — whose company card is in the Aura Robotics catalog — listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in July 2025, raising HK$2.71 billion in what was at the time the largest robotics IPO in the exchange's history, and has held the title of the world's largest autonomous mobile robot (AMR) provider by revenue for six consecutive years. The company's international revenue share exceeded 70% in 2024 — in other words, for Geek+, the overseas market is no longer a supplement to the domestic one but its primary revenue source.
A second major player at comparable scale
Quicktron, another prominent warehouse AMR manufacturer, has deployed over 42,000 robots for more than 1,000 clients worldwide, operating in 30+ countries through 10 overseas service offices. That density of overseas presence isn't a scattering of pilot projects — it's a full service infrastructure needed to support equipment far from the manufacturer.
The market as a whole is growing faster than it looks
Industry research puts China's AGV/AMR market at RMB 19.665 billion in 2024 with 158,300 units produced, while the global market for this equipment is estimated at roughly $20 billion by 2028 with an installed base of 2.7 million robots. The export order share for Chinese mobile robot manufacturers rose from 25.87% in 2022 to over 40% in 2025 — meaning the shift from a mostly domestic market to a genuinely global one took just three years.
Why Chinese AMRs win abroad
The key argument is price: Chinese manufacturers offer functionally comparable solutions at 40-60% below Western alternatives, while also competing on speed of integration with warehouse management systems (WMS) — an area where Geek+ specifically highlights its software platform as a competitive edge.
