AgiBot / 智元机器人 — a company readers may already know from the open-source Lingxi X1 humanoid — made perhaps the most aggressive international expansion push of any Chinese humanoid manufacturer in 2026. On January 6, at CES in Las Vegas, the company formally announced its entry into the US market, showing its full lineup — the flagship Yuanzheng A2, the Lingxi X2 series, the Jingui G2 series, the D1 quadruped, and the OmniHand manipulation system. On February 25, AgiBot held a press conference in Munich announcing its entry into the German market with a full product matrix and system-level industry solutions — industry observers assess AgiBot as the most active and proactive Chinese humanoid manufacturer specifically on going global.

A production milestone, not just marketing

On March 28, 2026, the company's 10,000th general-purpose humanoid robot rolled off the production line — the new full-size Yuanzheng A3 model, unveiled shortly before on February 13. That unit count isn't a marketing figure — it's evidence that production has moved from one-off prototype assembly into genuine mass manufacturing, comparable in logic to an automotive assembly line.

The software core is advancing in parallel

On April 9, AgiBot released the Genie Operator 2 (GO-2) model — described by the company as the industry's first embodied-AI model to build chain-of-thought reasoning logic directly into robot action planning. By the third quarter, the company announced a follow-up, GO-3, aimed at a breakthrough in task success rate, generalization ability, and handling of long, multi-step scenarios.

What it means for the industry

The combination of mass production, overseas expansion into two key markets at once (the US and Germany), and parallel development of an in-house "brain" model shows AgiBot is building a vertically integrated strategy rather than relying on partners in any of the three dimensions — hardware, sales geography, and AI platform. For competitors, that raises the bar: entering the market with one strong link is no longer enough when the leading player is strong across all three at once.
